Nashville Acting Studio is excited to announce our new On-Going Kids and Teen Classes!
KIDS CLASS – AGES 6-11
9:30am-11:30pm each Saturday (4 Saturdays a month) In this class we will work mainly with commercials and monologues for material, while getting them acquainted with being on camera. However, we will do some scene work. We’ll also work on listening, focus and improv skills.
*We ask that the younger kids enrolling be in the second grade (as this is when they usually begin to further their reading skills). However, we are open to those who already have sharp memorization and/or reading skills.
TEEN CLASS – AGES 12-18
12pm-2pm each Saturday. (4 Saturdays a month) This class will be structured a bit more like our adult classes. In the teen class, we will focus more heavily on scene study through script analysis and emotional preparation. However, we’ll also work on camera to build an on-camera awareness and strengthen audition skills.
Parent Q&A: While the classes will be setup a little differently according to age group, we are very excited about one common and vital detail. We plan to invite the parents in once a month for a 30 minute Q&A. In each Q&A we’ll discuss the questions and concerns you the parents have. Headshots, agents, workshops, auditions, theatre, continued training, etc. We realize that this business is hectic and full of people ready to take advantage of you, your children, time and money. We want to create an open line of communication to help you navigate through this crazy industry.
While we welcome kids of all experience levels, we want to have an open dialogue with each child and you the parent. Some kids might just be in class as a hobby. Some might be sharpening their skills to get an agent. Some might already have agents and need on-going training. We want to ensure that we are on the same page with each child’s specific goals, interests and expectations.
Spaces are held on a month-to-month basis and are limited, please let us know ASAP if you are interested by emailing us at email@example.com. Be sure to include which class you’re interested in for your child.
Nashville Acting Studio’s teen class is the “It Place” for the serious teen actor in Nashville. I was able to see immediate and significant results after my very first class. I love receiving my digital copy at the end of class so I can critique myself and be able to follow and assess my growth. Caroline challenged me to get out of my “easy comedic safe zone” and press into becoming a more dramatic well rounded actor.

Nashville Acting Studio is a great place to learn what it takes to be a professional teen actor. The training is age appropriate and geared for the serious young actor. My daughter booked a job shortly after completing NAS Teen Acting Camp! -Kate Hosna

Meet The Young Actors Coach, Lindsey Shope
Growing up in Nashville, Lindsey began working and studying as an actor at a very young age.
After spending several years in Los Angeles, Lindsey now works locally as a professional actor and coach to young actors. Not only has she been teaching the studio’s camps and workshops for kids and teens, she’s also been working with several young actors privately. “Being in this business since I was a kid, I’ve seen my share of scams and such. I’ve been lucky enough to land with some wonderful coaches through my career. Each one teaching me something new about myself and the craft. It’s been really exciting to be part of that experience with so many young actors, that are ready to dig in and do the work.”
Lindsey’s recent credits include “NAIAD,” the comedic web series “Dates,” the indie feature “Columbus” and a guest-starring role on Tyler Perry’s “Too Close to Home.”
